Rambert Grades Training now contributes to Royal Academy of Dance CPD Hours

In a significant development for members of both Rambert Grades and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), from August 2024, all Rambert Grades Syllabus Training courses will now contribute to Time-Valued CPD (Continuing Professional Development) hours.
This development marks a new chapter in the successful collaboration between Rambert Grades and the RAD, which began in 2022. The collaboration, aimed at providing ballet teachers worldwide with access to Rambert Grades’ Contemporary Dance Training and Qualifications has rapidly expanded globally. As part of this collaboration, RAD Registered Teachers and Members, including Members Plus, benefit from discounted annual membership with Rambert Grades.

Professional Development for dance teachers
To celebrate two years of this collaboration, all Rambert Grades training courses for teachers will now count towards RAD’s Time-Valued CPD hours, a requirement for maintaining RAD Registered Teacher status.
This enhancement allows RAD teachers to not only meet their CPD requirements but also expand their teaching methods and studio offerings by incorporating pioneering contemporary dance education.
CPD Hours Breakdown
Creative Dance for Early Years (Creative Movers, Pre-Primary, and Primary): 10 hours
Creative Contemporary Dance Level 1 (Grades 1-3): 10 hours
Creative Contemporary Dance Level 2 (Grades 2-5): 10 hours
Creative Contemporary Dance Level 3 (Grades 6-8): 10 hours

An increased offering with contemporary dance training
This development boosts this opportunity for RAD teachers to diversify their teaching methods, embracing a more holistic approach to dance education that includes contemporary dance alongside classical ballet. It also enables them to enhance their studio offerings, catering to a broader range of students and promoting a well-rounded dance education.
